My love for pianos started when I was three years old, when I began to
take piano lessons. I have continued to play ever since, and the
appreciation and wonder that I feel for this instrument has grown as I
have become more familiar with the numerous pianos I have played.
I began studying piano technology in the summer of 2008 when I enrolled
in the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology, a comprehensive
correspondence course in piano tuning, regulating, repair, and voicing.
I have also done informal apprentice work with technicians in Prince
George and California.
I am a member of the Canadian Association of Piano Technicians and an
Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild. This means that I am
committed to, among other things,
- act honourably and in a professional manner
- render the best possible service under the circumstances, always
keeping the best interests of my client in mind
- engage only in fair practices
- strive to upgrade my professional skills and encourage and help others do the same
